First Parish Music Program Presents

Founded in 1972, the French Boys' Choir, "Maîtrise des Hauts de France" comprise about two dozen boys and young men from schools, colleges and universities in and around Lambersart, near Lille in northern France. These children carry the graceful beauty of singing to every corner of the world. Through the universal language of music they delight all audiences.
In 1974, during the Lille Festival, the Choir had the honor of performing the Duruflé's Requiem under the composer's direction.
In 1977, they were invited to the White House.
In 1980, 1987, 1994 and 2006 they had the privilege of singing for Pope John Paul in Rome's St. Peter's Basilica.
In 1984, in the Church of St. Louis des Invalides in Paris, they gave another rendition of Duruflé's Requiem, this time with the Conservatory of Lille Symphony Orchestra, under Jean-Marc Cochereau.
In addition to live concerts, the Choir maintains an active recording schedule and has appeard in numerous television and radio broadcasts. The Choir regulary sings in musical and choral festivals all over Europe. The French Boys' Choir is also active in exchange programs with other well-known boys' choirs, such as the Vienna Boy's Choir, the Stockholm's Gosskör, the Poznan's Rossignols.
